The Alb Hotel - Shrewsbury

The location easy walk to a bus station was great and lovely, most places in Shrewsbury were within reach. The hotel was an easy walk to the heart of Shrewsbury.

This was my really enjoyable stay for a wedding. I liked the place, it was neat & the staff were especially helpful and competent. Near a bus stop, the location was nice and incredible, really close to the train station too.

The outdoor access was convenient, yet the heating in the restaurant was inadequate.

Can just recommend for a fleeting pause

Nice rooms with big fridges. Breakfast was delicious but limited options for kids.

The staff were super friendly. We loved the location, being so close to everything, and it was great to return to the bar after our evening out. Alice's cocktails were a highlight, and the attentive door staff remembered us. Breakfast was also fab!

The room was comfortable and well-equipped. The breakfast service was disappointing due to shortages, which affected my experience. There was noticeable road noise that could disrupt sleep quality. It offers good value with clean amenities but could improve in service and soundproofing.

The staff were amazing and switched our rooms without us asking! 😊 The room was spacious and the breakfast delicious, but the noise from the main road at night was a bit much. a nice experience.

I stayed in a Budget Twin Room and it was comfy enough. The room was clean, and I liked the decor. Good shower pressure too, but I had an issue with the shampoo holder falling off the wall. Staff could have been more understanding regarding my situation with the towels having fake tan stains. The focus on cleanliness felt a bit over the top, but the other amenities were decent. Breakfast was great though!

During our stay, we appreciated the lovely and clean room which made us feel comfortable. The cooked breakfast was also a highlight, as it was freshly prepared and very tasty. While the location was a bit noisy due to street traffic, it was conveniently close to town, allowing us easy access to attractions with just a short walk.

I loved the location of The Albert. It's close to transport links and local amenities, super convenient for exploring. The room was spacious and had plenty of USB plugs, a nice touch that I really appreciated. The comfortable bed was another highlight. The ground floor room felt a bit exposed to the street was great. The curtains didn't block all the light, causing disturbances at night. The breakfast was somewhat upscale but lacked options. I wished for simpler choices like cereals. The door of the hotel created loud noises that could be heard in the room, which disrupted my sleep. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

I had a lovely stay and really appreciated how close I was to beautiful spots like Ditherington Flax Mill just a few steps away and the fine Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery, an easy stroll from my room, made my weekend explorations effortless and enjoyable.
